Drawing in Nature / Workshop in Pyrenees

This is the proposal for this autumn, a drawing workshop in nature that I'll teach next month of October in the Roncal Valley, in the Navarrese Pyrenees. It will take place between days 19 and 21 in Isaba.

It is aimed at anyone who feels motivated by drawing and nature. It is recommended to have a basic knowledge of drawing, but it is not indispensable, since the essential idea the delve into this exceptional place through drawing, using nature and all that it gives us as support for, above all, enjoy and that the result of this experience is reflected in our field notebook, essential element of this workshop. Drawing and place, are the means, the end is to enjoy using our creative potential and know a little better what we see through time that through observation, we devote to what we draw.

Our field notebook, is the place in which are embodied such almost ephemeral encounters with the landscape, the water of a stream, rock, a bird, a tree,... a smell, a sense, a conversation,... are challenges and at the same time an opportunity to know and enjoy. We will arrive with a notebook blank, and we'll we go with a notebook full of experiences and sensations.

This time of year has the attractive added that the fall wears the colors very interesting and spectacular mountain shape in our field notebook.

Friday 19.
Afternoon: Presentation of the workshop. Introduction to drawing from nature. Techniques.

Saturday 20.
Breakfast. Full-time field with a stop for a picnic. Dinner.
We will work in several enclaves.

Sunday 21.
Continuation with the field work. Lunch. Closure of the workshop.

The price of the course is 169 €. It includes lodging at the Metsola rural apartments. Will be staying two or more persons per apartment, also includes lunch, dinner and picnic. Does not include drawing material. PLACES ARE LIMITED.

Essential drawing material

Field notebook
There are several models that can be used. We recommend notebooks Hahnemuehle which are manufactured with quality paper that supports the use of watercolor, or type Molleskine it is bound and caps are rigid. There are similar models from other brands. The ideal is to landscape format, and the recommended size is A4 or A5.

Box of watercolors
We're not worth school watercolors. We recommend small box of watercolors in Tablet type Van gogh of 12 colors.

Brushes
We're not worth school brushes. We recommend watercolour brushes of synthetic hair like Talens, Scoda ..  number 8-10.

Other essential materials:
Graphite pencil (2 H, 2B and HB)
Rubber and pencil sharpener
Black markers
Container for water (watercolor)
Paper towels or similar

Recommended material:
Hat and raincoat
Small chair or stool
