Cork on white

Thanks to a commisioned work, I had the opportunity to take delight in the textures of the skin of a cork tree and its trunk naked. I did not want to be entirely faithful to the real shades, and have tried to highlight some corks blue clear tones come to reflect making look really blue in the distance on clear days. I hesitated about whether to bathe in a dark background the right to bring out even more light, but eventually chose not to make use of this resource and look what happened.

Cork on white. Watercolour. 48 x 36 cm.
